The Waukesha Carnival 04/21/2008

by thoughtfulconservative

Well, we’re late again this week. This past weekend was the biggest of our year so there was not much free time.

Let’s get started.

At his blog, Dad29, in between the understandable posts on Benedict XVI’s American visit, has this on Wisconsin representative Don Pridemore’s move to force third party groups to publicize their backers.

In national politics, Cindy Kilkenny explains why Obama won’t be our next president.

At The Daily Scoff, j gravelle shares a couple of Democratic Foe-tos.

The Asian Badger informs us of the Democratic Congress attempt to do away with Health Savings accounts.

Troy Fullerton wonders if Joe Lieberman will be the next Zell Miller (without the challenge to a duel, I hope).

Jeff tells us his opinion of Mayor Nelson’s State of the City speech at Five Points blog. So did James Wigderson at Wigderson Library & Pub.

Sancho announces a Vagrants Coalition Meeting at Hobo Springs.

I picked this one from Spring City Chronicle, because if you proclaim yourself tuberculosis free and at the same time refer to some on the left as vitriolic and misogynistic, it’s gotta be a read-worthy post, right?

Finally, David B. Bohl gives us If the Economy is on the Downturn is Life on the Upswing?

That’s it for this week. As usual if you wish to nominate a post you can use this hand submission form. Past posts and future editions can be found on the blog carnival index page.
