by thoughtfulconservative

The FAA released the tapes of Flight 1549 voice recorder. Here are more of the tape with video.

And if you can take Katie Couric, the whole flight crew is sitting down with her on 60 minutes this Sunday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m. ET/PT.

A Waukesha Carnival 2-4-2008

by thoughtfulconservative

Here’s another edition of the posts by Waukesha county bloggers that I found most thought-provoking. Note, not the ones I agree with, just the ones that got me thinking. You may have your own, feel free to put them in the comments, or email them to me at thoughtfulconservative [at] yahoo [dot] com.

First of all, can a carnival contain a carnival? One could argue that Sancho’s “Hobo Sandwich” is a carnival of sorts.

Sen. Mary Lazich (aide Kevin Fischer?) contends that Wisconsin must approve a ban on partial birth abortions.

Mayor Nelson goes out on a limb and predicts presidential elections.

silent e lets us know something about matching prices gimmicks.

Jeff at Eat Wisconsin thinks the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is not going to hire another food critic. At Five Points Blog, he notes changes to Neighbor’s Social Club.

Fox Head wonders why liberals hate things they don’t think of.

Scott Feldstein announces for president. Then withdraws and throws his support behind Obama.

Sancho posting at La Raza de Waukesha (which has moved to WordPress, update your blogrolls) has a caption contest.

More election politics as James Wigderson notes Ann Coulter’s “endorsement” of Hillary Clinton. We criticize Coulter and rightly so, but we see this all over because outrageous comments begets attention and attention begets sales (book, ads, etc.). James, spending some time in Minneapolis, brings us some news from across the border.

Dad29 posts about what can happen without adequate product research.

Lisa shares at Hobo Springs about what she saw on “60 Minutes” about the sub-prime crisis.

Cindy Kilkenny blogging at Fairly Conservative corrects some errors in fact with this Laurel Walker piece.

That’s it for this week. Again if you have a post you liked or think deserves to be here, use the comments or my e-mail above.
