Ted Kanavas not running for governor

by thoughtfulconservative

From the Waukesha Freeman,

Once the senator’s staff became aware of the tag, through a Brookfield woman’s blog, the Web developer was ordered to change it, he said.

The woman was Cindy Kilkenny and you can read it here.

  1. Please excuse me for being skeptical of Kanavas’ denial.

  2. capper, you know that politicians are always above board. /sarcasm.

  3. Some of them should be on the board that pirates call “the plank.”

  4. I posed this question to grumps and I’ll pose it to you: Why do we keep electing the same chumps (not that I think Kanavas is necessarily one)? Re-election of incumbents is still way in the 90s, as far as I know.

  5. The same reason battered women stay with the batterers and the same reason that abused children would rather live at home and be abused than live in a safe place where they will be cared for. The fear of the unknown trumps the complaints.

A familiar hell is less fearful than an unfamiliar heaven.

Heh. I knew that psych degree would come in handy some day. 😉

  6. It’s because people are easily manipulated. And he who has the most money can do the most manipulating. And he who schmoozes the most rich people/organizations has the most money.

  7. That’s the only reason I could think of also expressed by “Better the devil we know than the one we don’t know.”

  8. And thus you proven yourself to indeed being thoughtful. Although being cognitive is much more impressive. 😉
