Voting begins in Florida

by thoughtfulconservative

The Jan. 29 Florida presidential preference primay has already started.

Registered Republicans and Democrats can pick their presidential preference. All voters will be asked whether to overhaul the state’s property tax structure by amending the Florida Constitution. In Pinellas [county], local referendums and municipal elections are also on the ballot.

To vote early, visit a polling place listed below Monday through Saturday with a picture and signature ID. If you forget your ID, you can cast a provisional ballot.

One other note: It’s one of the last elections for the Florida touch-screen voting machine. They’ll soon be going the way of the butterfly ballot as governments in Florida convert to optical scan voting equipment this summer.

A reminder that many states have early voting, some of which will take place well before the actual date.
