Fred Thompson news

Potential presidential candidate Fred Thompson has substituted for Paul Harvey, as he does sometime. He was on this past week, on the Tuesday through Friday broadcasts. You can hear them here. He did both the am and pm broadcasts.

Thompson also had a piece on National Review online. This was from Friday’s broadcast.

Fred Thompson for president?

UPDATE: He’s not running yet.

Pete has been keeping up with the other Republican Thompson’s draft and possible candidacy for president in 2008 (Examples are his latest post, as well as the ones here and then go here, here and here). Fred at RealDebateWisconsin and Patrick also have posted in favor of Thompson’s candidacy.

You can view Thompson’s record on the issues. The Jawa Report takes a look at it.

Thompson is due to be on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace. Many are expecting an announcement, least of which is the Draft Fred Thompson site.

I’m not really excited about anyone on the Republican side yet, so I’d be glad to take a look at Thompson. His record seems more conservative than most running.

We’ll see what he says on Fox Sunday morning.
